Satsumasendai City’s traditional event “Sawauchi Grand Tug of War” will be held in earnest tonight for the first time in four years.

Due to the influence of the new coronavirus, the Kawauchi Great Tug of War will be held in earnest for the first time in four years. At the Kawauchi Great Tug of War, approximately 3,000 people are divided into red upper divisions and white lower divisions, and compete for one and a half hours to see who wins or loses.
