Grass, sand, a bit of a festival feel with a bar and plenty of entertainment on the program. This is in itself the proposal of “Wavre sur Herbe” for this 2023 edition. As in previous years, Place Cardinal Mercier will be green. From this Friday, August 18 from 6.30 p.m. until Friday, September 1, nearly 900 m² will be dedicated to relaxation and summer pleasures.
The event is co-organized by the City of Wavre and the Vitamine Z youth center. The festivities begin on August 18 at 6:30 p.m. with the inauguration in the presence of the municipal authorities: a drink will be offered in an Ibiza-style lounge atmosphere. Throughout the two weeks of “Wavre sur Herbe”, there will be something for everyone: open-air cinema sessions to see “The Fabelmans” or “Elvis”, an exhibition on Belgian-style spirituality at the Church of Saint-Jean Baptiste and many workshops (customization of t-shirts, creation of nesting boxes or initiation to juggling).
Without forgetting the numerous concerts in the afternoon or in the evening. Vitamine Z has a bar every day from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. and the “Apéros BW”, the Brabançons afterwork, will be present on Tuesday August 22 from 5 p.m. Some activities such as workshops require a reservation to be made at the bar.
