It has been on the way for more than 2 years, this time it’s done, the new HUmani intercommunal is officially on track. HUmani is in fact the result of the merger/absorption of the intermunicipal association which managed the Fagnes Health Center in Chimay by the ISPPC, the intermunicipal hospital association of Charleroi. For those responsible for the intermunicipal association, this merger was inevitable to face the financial, administrative, IT and organizational challenges but also to eliminate the shortage of doctors in Chimay. So what consequences will this merger/absorption have on the provision of care for the inhabitants of the Chimay region? Hugues Decaluwé’s explanations
