Square Enix Vice President Yoshinore Kitase admitted that he does not rule out the possibility of a new Final Fantasy game in the style of the Call of Duty franchise. He noted that Call of Duty is fundamentally about a small group of people who save the world – and this is very similar to the concept of Final Fantasy, although in the first case there are no such bright fantastic elements. He did not elaborate on exactly what Call of Duty-style FF could look like, but journalist Jason Schreier mentioned the idea of a first-person shooter in the FF universe as a theoretical example. Similar thoughts arose in light of the conversation about the franchise itself as a whole, where new entries in the series often change concepts and game systems. It is unlikely that Square Enix has any specific plans in this direction now. Final Fantasy XVI preloaded on PS5 recently, with the game being just over 90GB in size. In addition, in honor of the imminent release of the novelty, a real sword from FF 16 was put up in London. The game managed to get the first rating, which turned out to be almost perfect. The release itself is scheduled for June 22.
