The service station in the village of Yens (VD) was the scene of an explosion late Thursday afternoon. It precisely took place at the pump which distributes biogas, explains the Vaud cantonal police.
“I was in the car, my mom was at the terminal to pay. Then we heard a big boom. We immediately ran. An explosion that takes place in a station where there is gasoline, it’s really scary, “explains a witness.
While the material damage is substantial, it has not yet been quantified and the exact circumstances of the accident are not known. Three people were slightly injured. “We will communicate in more detail on Friday, but all danger has now been averted,” reassures Alexandre Bisenz, spokesperson for the Vaud cantonal police.
