A woman was killed in an explosion in an apartment in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Thursday, according to Al-Hurra correspondent and local media.
Al-Hurra’s correspondent said, “The explosion occurred in an apartment that witnessed a similar explosion last month, as a result of an explosive device.”
She added, “Dozens of explosive devices were previously seized in the same apartment located in the Jamous area in the southern suburbs of the capital.”
The official National News Agency stated that the Intelligence Directorate had arrested the owner of the apartment for making explosive devices.
She added, “The dead woman was the aunt of the detainee, as the explosion took her life while she was cleaning the apartment.”
