Explosions were heard this Wednesday morning in southern Lebanon, according to an Al-Arabi correspondent.
Since the early hours of the morning, the southern border villages have witnessed a cautious calm, amid assurances from those close to Hezbollah that “the party is working on developing a new field plan to deal with the enemy.”
Yesterday, Tuesday, witnessed relative calm during the day, before the various fronts returned to flare up in the evening in the towns of Naqoura, Rmeish, and Aita al-Shaab, all the way to the eastern sector, where the Israeli army targeted a number of Lebanese towns.
Our correspondent Joyce Al-Hajj Khoury said that what was new in the matter was the targeting of more towns such as Halta and Kafr Hamam, pointing out that the Red Cross worked to withdraw the martyrs and wounded.
The Lebanese Hezbollah mourned 3 of its members who fell during the confrontations with the Israeli occupation across the border, which raised the number of its martyrs since October 7 to 37 martyrs.
In its statements, the party contented itself with noting that its three members “were martyred while carrying out their jihadist duty.”
Lebanon’s southern borders are witnessing an exchange of fire with the Israeli army in parallel with the occupation’s aggression once morest the Gaza Strip, which has killed 5,791 martyrs since October 7, including 2,360 children, 1,292 women, and 295 elderly people.
Nasrallah’s meeting with Al-Nakhalah and Al-Arouri
In addition, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, received the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, Ziad al-Nakhalah, and the Deputy Head of the Political Bureau of the Hamas Movement, Saleh al-Arouri.
A statement that did not mention the date of the meeting stated that the recent events in the Gaza Strip since the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood were reviewed, and the subsequent developments at every level, as well as the ongoing confrontations on the Lebanese border with occupied Palestine.
According to the statement, “The positions taken internationally and regionally were evaluated and what the parties of the resistance axis must do at this sensitive stage to achieve a real victory for the resistance in Gaza and Palestine, and to stop the treacherous and brutal aggression once morest our oppressed and steadfast people in Gaza and the West Bank.”
The same source stated, “It was agreed to continue coordination and permanent follow-up of developments on a daily and permanent basis.”
