During an inspection tour of Expo City Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Cabinet, was briefed on the final preparations to host the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), and the administrative, logistical and operational preparations. Its activities begin on November 30th.
His Highness visited during the tour, accompanied by the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, President of the Conference of the Parties (COP28), Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, and a number of members of the Supreme National Committee to supervise the preparations for “COP28”… the headquarters of the World Climate Action Summit, and the locations of the pavilions of countries and organizations. And the halls that will host meetings of all parties, to discuss negotiating texts.
His Highness heard from the COP28 work team an explanation of the most prominent activities that the conference will witness, in which more than 160 heads of state and government, 85,000 participants, and more than 5,000 media representatives who hold official media accreditation from the United Nations Framework Convention on… Climate change.
The Conference of the Parties (COP28) is of particular importance, as it witnesses the response to the first global inventory to assess progress in implementing the goals of the Paris Agreement.

An official application to enhance the COP28 visitors’ experience
The Presidency of the Conference of the Parties (COP28) announced the launch of a mobile application, which aims to facilitate the experience of participants and visitors during the conference period, which will be held in Expo City Dubai, from November 30 to December 12. Conference visitors can download the official application compatible with Apple, Android and Huawei devices, and explore its features using the email used when registering to attend COP28.
The application provides a seamless experience for users, and helps visitors to the Blue and Green Zones organize their schedules easily, learn about the dates and locations of important meetings and events at the conference, and stay informed of changes to the event programs.
The application includes interactive GPS maps that help visitors navigate Expo City Dubai, and provides them with the opportunity to explore the full program of conference activities in all its aspects, from sessions related to climate action, interactive experiences, and artistic and entertainment exhibitions. Using the application, with its maps, guidance information, answers to frequently asked questions, and the events program, will reduce reliance on unsustainable and more energy-consuming tools, such as printing COP28 materials on paper.
