In conjunction with Al Wasl Square setting a record in the Guinness Book of World Records, becoming the largest immersive interactive dome in the world, Expo City Dubai revealed a rich schedule of events that include advanced technology experiences, cultural festivals, new dining options, and a wide range of sporting initiatives, to strengthen its position as a home. Among its latest offerings is a new and pioneering augmented reality experience, where visitors will soon be able to interact with Al Wasl Dome via their mobile phones, adding a new achievement to its list of distinguished achievements.

Amna Belhoul, Executive Creative Director of Events and Entertainment at Expo City Dubai, said: “Al Wasl City continues to bring people together, and we are pleased to share details of our new experiences at the same time as our famous interactive destination receives this prestigious recognition. From interactive augmented reality, to honoring the Arab explorer Ibn Battuta in our latest immersive experiences, to the launch of a sustainable café, the return of Winter City and Ramadan Neighborhood events, our upcoming offers will strengthen our city’s position as a center for creativity, innovation and luxury.”

Belhoul confirmed that Al Wasl City continues to bring people together and launch various activities that suit visitors of all ages, in a press conference entitled “Dubai Expo City, a destination for creativity, innovation and healthy living,” during which a wide range of local and international events were revealed. The city announced the calendar of activities for the 2023-2024 season, the first of which will be launched this October, and includes a number of workshops and events, the first of which will be held in conjunction with the “Dubai Calligraphy Biennial” between October 21 and 28, and Japanese virtual reality artist Emi Sekiguchi will participate in it. The paintings and works of the artist Matar Bin Lahej will be transformed into distinctive animated pieces of art, as the unique experience that the city offers to its visitors includes interactive augmented reality activities and immersive experiences that tell distinctive stories such as the story of the Arab explorer Ibn Battuta. The city announced the opening of the new Al Wasl Square Café, which is located near Al Wasl Dome, enabling visitors to enjoy coffee and food served there while watching live shows. The café is a local brand that serves Arabic cuisine that prides itself on sustainability standards.

It was also announced that a group of activities suitable for all family members will be presented, such as a musical and artistic adventure on October 27 and 28, titled (22.7 degrees “Molecular”), which highlights the rapid melting of ice on the island of Greenland, while the activities of the Artificial Intelligence Film Festival continue, which is the first of Next year, the city will witness the “Break the Block” events, which is a festival of music, food and arts that celebrates the spirit of youth, and the first hosting of the electronic music festival in the Middle East (Antold), which will be held in February, as Amna Belhoul called on the public to rush in. Obtaining tickets, noting that the first batch of tickets for this wonderful event has sold out.
