NNA – The Public Prosecutor of Appeal in Mount Lebanon, Judge Ghada Aoun, tweeted on her Twitter account: “Sabah Al-Awadem. Questions that must be asked.:

Did you make a mistake when you opened the casino file and discovered waste, theft and bribery of media professionals and others? Did you make a mistake when you opened the corruption file in the useful. Did you make a mistake when you opened the fraudulent fuel file and discovered fraud in fuel and theft? Did I make a mistake when I asked for the application of the Bank Secrecy Law?

Did you make a mistake when you opened a closed file and discovered that a bank transferred an amount of one billion dollars in one year at the height of the crisis, after the dollars were not removed from the market? Did I make a mistake when I discovered that the company transferred $ 4 billion abroad from unknown sources, and this is fixed as 1 + 1 = 2?

Did I make a mistake when I opened the file of Riad Salameh and the housing loans, and discovered the waste and the disbursement of influence, and then falsifying the bank’s budgets and transferring nine billion dollars to the banks at the height of the crisis, in order to transfer them in turn abroad. Did I make a mistake when I looked at the claims of depositors whose life has evaporated?

Perhaps I erred at one point in underestimating the extent of the corrupt system I was facing. Believe me, this system cannot succeed if there is no one to protect it in the judiciary. Have you wondered why Judge Borezi does her work freely, confiscates, seizes and obliges everyone to lift bank secrecy because there is a free judiciary that protects her? Here is the crux of the matter. Just free the judiciary.”
