In the Gironde estuary, more than 300 athletes powered by sail (windsurf and windfoil, kitefoil, wingfoil, catamaran) and paddle (kayak and canoe) will set off to conquer the Cordouan Lighthouse on courses adapted to each support. The Cordouan Lighthouse, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, becomes the iconic landmark that each participant must reach.

The Extrême Cordouan racing area (organized by the Saint Georges Voiles club) extends from Saint-Georges-de-Didonne to La Palmyre, passing through the Pointe de Grave and of course the…Cordouan Lighthouse . It is an ideal body of water for different courses and to spice up races with the particularities of the estuary. The large beach of Saint-Georges-de-Didonne is the heart of the event with all the arrival lines. The different courses are secured by a system bringing together nearly 50 boats and 80 volunteers crisscrossing the racing areas.
