F1 champion Max Verstappen “I choose a different education method for my child than my father”[F1-Gate.com]

Max Verstappen says he would choose a different approach than his father, Jos Verstappen, when it comes to educating his children.

Jos Verstappen has a reputation as a hard-tasking master. The most notable example is the story of Max Verstappen leaving his son at a petrol station in Italy when he crashed in a kart race.

There are question marks about how fair it is to treat a young child like that, but there is no question that Jos Verstappens’ technique worked for Max Verstappen.

Max Verstappen has plenty of time left to add to his F1 world championship tally, but he’s also thinking about his future, and if he says he has kids and wants to race, he’ll choose a different education method. Then speak.

“I definitely want kids. If they want to race, that’s fine,” Verstappen told De Limburger.

“But I think it’s going to be different than the way my father and I have dealt with it. I’m not really thinking about it at the moment. I don’t have kids yet so it’s easy to talk about it. When the time comes, I’ll think differently. It may be

“But his passion has come a long way. He has done everything for me. Tuning the engine, prepping the karts. I can’t imagine myself doing that.”

“Anyway, I’m not going to force my kids to race. I have to want them to do it themselves.”

“I don’t think I can drive F1 by myself anymore if I do it with my son or daughter. I have to build my foundation from the age of four. I want to be at that level myself.”

Verstappen’s father has been behind the wheel at various events throughout the year and Max said he monitors his father’s hours to make sure he is safe.

“I always tell him to be careful,” said Max Verstappen of Jos Verstappen, who made his WRC debut in August.

“By the way, he always tells me the same thing. Well, he always wants to do his best, but with all the risks. You don’t have to win, so sometimes it’s better to reduce the risk by 1% and have fun.” Rallying has a relatively high number of accidents. At least one car is destroyed every year.”

“The races he does are slightly safer than some of the races in the World Championship, but still… I always follow him with live timing and yes, every time he passes I’m happy. Are you relieved too? Just a little.”
