F1: Max Verstappen does not exclude future Mercedes and Ferrari transfers[F1-Gate .com]

Max Verstappen says he feels “really good” at Red Bull Racing, but he hasn’t ruled out transfers to Ferrari or Mercedes when his mega contract expires.

F1 World Champion Max Verstappen has signed a seven-year contract with Red Bull Racing and will remain on the team until the end of the 2028 season.

But Red Bull F1 motorsport adviser Helmut Marko admits that Verstappen’s deal has a performance-related release clause if Red Bull falls out of order.

However, Max Verstappen is only 24 years old, and even after his current contract with Red Bull Racing expires, his career is still on the jud, completely denying his future potential at Mercedes and Ferrari. Not done.

“I feel really good on the team. There is no reason to leave the team. We are doing well and have a competitive package,” Max Verstappen told Motorsport-Magazin.

“At the end of the contract, I’ll be 31. You can choose to continue after that. At the end of the contract, I’m not old yet.”

This season, Max Verstappen has regained a point gap with Charles Leclerc in the Drivers’ Championship, with two consecutive victories in Imola and Miami reducing the gap to 19 points.

After a season-long duel with Lewis Hamilton last year, Max Verstappen talked about how much he enjoys fighting his former kart rival Charles Leclerc.

“Of course, every driver has a slightly different approach. He defends and attacks differently, so of course he takes a slightly different approach to all drivers,” said Max Verstappen.

“It’s really cool. Two young drivers are competing to win the race. So far we have a really good duel.”
