As is now the case every Monday after a Grand Prix (and not on Thursday, as before), the “We remake F1” team, which has become the essential meeting place for F1 fans on YouTube and on Twitch , will debate next Monday 48 hours after the Australian GP on F1 news. All in good humor and bad times, as always.

You’re now used to it: “We’re doing F1 again”, it’s now Monday. And no longer on Thursday, as was the case last season. And next Monday, the little band of “paddock fans” will debrief after Australia. Because in addition to now having its own Youtube channel (to which it will definitely switch soon), the essential meeting place for F1 news on Youtube but also on Twitch has moved this season from Thursday to Monday to be able to debate hot. See you on Monday for the third issue of the talk show season, two days after the Australian GP, the third meeting of the season but the first scheduled for Sunday, as is tradition (Ramadan calendar requires, the first two races had been brought forward to Saturday). And for those who don’t yet know the program, “We’re redoing F1”, it’s a group of columnists, nicknamed “paddock fans”, who look back after each race on the past weekend, all in good humor and bad faith – they insist on it – and with a luxury referee to direct the debate.

Any good points? No, a yellow flag and a red flag!

It is in fact Eric Boullier, current boss of the French Grand Prix and former CEO of the Renault and McLaren teams, who has the (heavy) responsibility of awarding the good points. For this, as in the Grand Prix, he has a yellow flag and a red flag in particular. As for the rest of the gang, there are five of them, all crazy about a stable, which they endeavor to defend every Monday with the most bad faith possible. In a setting that uses the latest immersive video game and virtual reality technologies to recreate a trackside giving the illusion that the show is taking place on an F1 circuit and which integrates advertising banners exactly as is done on a real circuit, we find around Olivier “Alonsista” Frigara, the presenter and host also known to be an inveterate fan of Fernando Alonso, Fabrice “Peponne” Marsella and Alain “Don Camillo” Di Duca, both crazy about the Scuderia Ferrari, Laurent Pantanacce, nicknamed “44” for his passion for Lewis Hamilton as well as Guillaume Pommier, aka “Rédélé 4 Ever”, who only lives for Alpine.

Obviously, it will be about Red Bull…

On Monday March 11, the day after the second Grand Prix of the season, in Jeddah, the five friends and Eric Boullier, only cut off by the radio interventions, as in the race, notably returned during episode 2 of “ORLF1” on the new demonstration of Max Verstappen, as imperturbable as ever, despite the crisis which is shaking his Red Bull team following accusations of “inappropriate behavior” from his boss Christian Horner, officially cleared but still in the eye of the cyclone. In the same way, Olivier Frigara and his neighbors on set wondered if the Red Bull house could explode. Or one of the many debates on the show, which also focused on the feat of Ferrari rookie Oliver Bearman, seventh for his very first Grand Prix. Enough to perhaps give Ferrari hope of catching up with Red Bull. The “Let’s remake F1” gang also debated the uneven performances of Mercedes, which could well yo-yo like last year. From news to predictions for the next Grand Prix, including a quiz or an interview with a guest (section entitled “Gentleman Driver”), “We are remaking F1”, a reference show, certainly deserves pole position.
