Sergio Perez won the Monaco Grand Prix, the start of which was delayed by rain. The Mexican beat Spaniard Carlos Sainz and Dutchman Max Verstappen.
Starting from pole position, Charles Leclerc had to settle for 4th place. While in the lead, the Monegasque was the victim of a strategic error by his team, which was slow to call him back to the pits to abandon the rain tyres. It certainly cost him the victory.
