Facebook with a new feature that allows users to create multiple personal profiles on the platform. The social media giant launched the multiple personal profile feature under Meta. The feature is meant to help users feel more “free” when interacting with Facebook.
The new feature will be very useful for those who like to keep their professional and personal life separate. Some Facebook users create a second profile to share their politics-related comments and posts. Or, there are those who want to keep their Facebook account private, sharing moments with family and friends.
Such people no longer need to create a second account. Four separate profiles can be created and used as desired through a single Facebook app. No need to log in again every time you select a profile. The profiles can be changed very quickly. All profiles will work the same as the main profile. Also, it is possible to hide from Facebook users that your main profile is created by another account.
Within each profile, users can connect with different communities or people, and the feed will be customized accordingly.
Some features may not be available…
At launch, some features may not be available for additional profiles, the company said. Missing features are dating, marketplace, professional mode, messenger and payments. Meanwhile, the company said it is working on bringing the Messenger feature soon.
How to create new profile..
Go to your profile section on Facebook.
At the top you will see the option to create a new profile.
Select it and add a name for your profile.
The next step is to add a username for your Facebook profile.
Then you will get the option to add friends to this profile.
