Fact or rumor.. Can parsley boiled treat kidney stones?

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN)–You may have previously heard of an herbal beverage that helps treat some of your health problems. However, in reality, they are often just rumors that people pass on to each other.

One of these rumors revolves around the possibility of treating kidney stones by boiling parsley.

The Gulf Health Council explained, through its official account on the “Instagram” website, that kidney stones are accumulated waste of calcium or uric acid inside the kidney.

Over time, the stones become hard as stones.

Of course, the causes of kidney stones are many, including behavioral and pathological.

Behavioral causes result from the lack of drinking water, and an excess of animal protein and sodium.

Kidney stones can also be pathological, caused by diseases such as gout and urinary tract infection.

The Gulf Health Council added, through its official account on the “Instagram” website, that it has not been scientifically proven that parsley has any effect on the treatment of kidney stones, explaining that drinking water and fluids helps to remove small stones from the urine.
