The second year of the Next project officially launched in Lousada, Portugal, from February 24-27, 2025. international partners convened to explore opportunities regarding the climatic crisis and determine actions for new generations.
These insights have since been channeled into local initiatives, including school meetings and activities at the “Urban Land” community garden, reinforcing the connection between the European project and tangible actions within the community.

On June 13, Faenza hosted another local event, in collaboration with Axat Aps, a youth association committed to social inclusion and environmental sustainability. at the “Urban Land” community garden, project participants presented the Next project and shared their experiences from international exchanges.
Participants engaged in planting seedlings,symbolizing their commitment to environmental duty. The event attracted over 40 people (many of whom were young people) and culminated in an anti-waste buffet featuring garden products and rescued food from local businesses.
Looking Ahead: Future Activities
The Next project will continue with local follow-up activities from the transnational meeting that occurred in Limassol, Cyprus, from May 23-26. The theme of that meeting was, “Empowering Youth Through Creative Arts.”
