Companies, professionals and retailers from the furniture chain are counting down to one of the most important business events in the country aimed at the sector: the fairs Fimma Brasil and Movelsul Brasil 2023which will take place jointly between the days August 28th and 31stnot Park of Events of Bento Gonçalves (RS). With an estimate of 500 exhibiting brandsthey are internationally recognized and attract the furniture chain from end to end.
One of the biggest fairs in the furniture sector in the world, the International Fair of Suppliers of the Wood and Furniture Production Chain (end Brazil) has been carried out since 1993 by the Association of Furniture Industries of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Moverg) with the aim of supporting the development of the sector, anticipating trends and displaying technology and innovation. Among the most important B2B furniture fairs in Latin America, mobilesul Brazil is focused on large furniture retail – bringing together industries (especially serial and modular), decoration, mattresses, upholstery, planned and corporate furniture. With 22 editions held since 1977 by the Union of Furniture Industries of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis), is a reference for visiting shopkeepers, retail chains, corporate buyers, investors, architects, designers and importers.
The president of Movergs, Euclides Longhi, points out that, more than generating business, the fair promotes innovation, partnerships and exchange of knowledge. “With exhibitors of cutting-edge technologies, inputs, machines, services and equipment, Fimma presents solutions for companies of different sizes to innovate their processes and become more competitive in the market. In addition, contact with other professionals, through the exchange of experiences and content on topics relevant to the sector, helps to align important partnerships, take advantage of opportunities and broaden horizons”, he comments.
Looking forward to the next edition, the president of Sindmóveis, Gisele Dalla Costa, explains that Movelsul Brasil is a great showcase for brands to present their launches to an extremely qualified audience. “Those who visit Movelsul find the main Brazilian furniture brands, and can talk to the exhibitors to learn about new features and differentials. The fair will allow shopkeepers and retailers to anticipate their purchase planning for 2024, generating excellent business even in the medium term”, she emphasizes.
Fostering business will be even more prominent in this edition. In addition to the presence of international buyers invited by the fair, Movelsul will feature Brazilian Furniture – a project by Abimóvel and ApexBrasil – which will take importers from the main countries in the sector to negotiate directly with exhibitors. The business roundtables promoted by Sebrae/RS will promote meetings between invited national shopkeepers and micro and small companies that prospect new partnerships. Fimma, in turn, will have international business roundtables coordinated by the Orchestra Brasil project – an initiative by Sindmóveis with the support of ApexBrasil that promotes the internationalization of suppliers in the furniture chain.
BEYOND BUSINESS
Fimma continues to raise the banner of innovation and entrepreneurship as competitiveness tools. The fair will feature the Innovation Ecosystem space, an environment that will promote content on trends and innovation for the future of the furniture sector – especially on the subject of Artificial Intelligence. Movelsul, on the other hand, maintains its traditional exhibition of Salão Design Awardthe main Brazilian furniture design award, which this year reaches its 25th edition.
SUCCESS IN 2022
For the first time held jointly, Fimma and Movelsul 2022 received 30,295 thousand professional visitors from all Brazilian states and 41 countries. Adding up the transactions carried out during and after the fairs, it is estimated that more than R$ 2 billion were transacted. Acceptance was so good that, according to satisfaction surveys carried out by the organization, more than 85% of visitors intend to check out the new features of the next edition.
