Zurich (awp) – Fairtrade, specializing in the trading of food raw materials, has appointed Stephan Schad as managing director. He will succeed Mike Mahler in mid-October who is leaving the Pistor group subsidiary.
Mr Schad previously worked as head of purchasing, planning and logistics for fruit juice brand Biotta, Fairtrade said in a statement on Thursday.
Fairtrade is active in the trading of food raw materials such as nuts, dried fruits, sugar, cocoa and vanilla. The Rothenburg company supplies chocolate and biscuit factories as well as beverage manufacturers. The company achieved a turnover of 23 million Swiss francs this year.
