Dahisar: Two people have been arrested in connection with the spread of a fake video of Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Surve (Shiv Sena Shinde wing) and party spokesperson Sheetal Matere kissing during the ‘Asheerwad Yatra’ in Dahisar, Maharashtra. Manas Kuar (26) and Ashok Mishra (45) were arrested. Dahisar police informed that the video was morphed and circulated. The police said further investigation is going on.
The video went viral on Saturday night. The family of Prakash Surve had alleged that the video was morphed and circulated to defame him. The Dahisar police registered a case under IPC Sections 354, 509, 500, 34 and 67.
Sheetal Matre also came forward with a reaction to the incident. She asked if insulting a woman’s character was the culture of a damned group. It was notable that Prakash Sarve and Sheetal Matere participated together in Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Ashirwad Yatra. The video of the two leaders participating in the rally went viral on social media.
