Regarding the distinctive features between influenza and Covid-19, Dr Sayer explained that the former is a virus that affects the human body for a short time, specifying that it is often accompanied by fever and a dry cough. , in addition to joint pain and diarrhea in some cases.

For Covid-19, he explained, it is a disease that progresses for a period of two weeks before being identified, specifying that the symptoms linked to it are more severe, in particular acute fever. , headaches, dry cough and loss of smell and ageusia.

Regarding the means of prevention, the specialist indicated that respiratory diseases, widespread during this period, are detected in vulnerable people (elderly and chronically ill people and children).

To deal with any health complication, Dr Sayer called on those concerned to get vaccinated to face possible complications, encouraging them to take all the doses to counter Covid-19.

The expert also called for the use of the bib, respect for distancing in closed and public places, frequent hand washing and the use of disinfectants.
