Tlahualilo, Dgo. -A 7-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were hospitalized after being victims of accidents while doing leisure activities; the infant had to be taken from Tlahualilo to Gómez Palacio, due to the dangers of her injury.
The first of the cases is that of a little girl who, while playing on a swing at her school, suffered a spectacular fall in which she hit the occipital region (nape), for which the institution’s staff took her to receive medical care.
The preliminary evaluation confirmed possible brain involvement, because coupled with the little girl’s abundant nausea, she was disoriented and had balance problems, so she was taken by ambulance to the General Hospital of Gómez Palacio to receive immediate attention.
Meanwhile, while playing soccer, a 17-year-old teenager suffered an apparent fracture in one of his arms, for which his teammates and the manager of the sports unit where this occurred, requested medical support.
Municipal Health personnel from said demarcation arrived at the place and, upon confirming the deformation, they transferred the boy to the clinic of the Mexican Institute of Social Security, where they were in charge of monitoring his treatment.
