Following the bomb threat this Thursday morning at the Roi Baudouin school in Schaerbeek, the police descended on the site with a dog specialized in searching for explosives.

“The school received an email reporting that a bomb was regarding to explode this morning. A security perimeter was immediately set up and the school was evacuated. After a negative search and sweep, the perimeter security has been lifted, announced this followingnoon the Brussels Public Prosecutor’s Office. The students have all been authorized to return home. The Brussels public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation to determine who is at the origin of this false bomb threat, and recalls that false bomb threats are punishable by heavy penalties, ranging from three months to two years’ imprisonment and a fine of 400 to 2,400 euros.”
