A minor was identified as the author of a false bomb threat which led to the evacuation of a school in La Louvière on Thursday, the Mons prosecutor’s office said on Friday.
The approximately 2,000 children from Saint-Marie school were evacuated Thursday following the alert. The investigations carried out with, in particular, the specialized dogs of the federal police, turned out to be negative.
The magistrate of the youth section of the public prosecutor’s office should refer the matter to a youth judge. The strongest measure risked by the suspect is placement in a closed institution (IPPJ). “There is no indication that this will be the case,” however, specified the prosecution.
