A man and a woman were arrested in Valencia, Carabobo state for allegedly usurping functions as doctors by applying treatments illegally.
Douglas Rico, director of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminalistic Investigations (Cicpc), revealed that the procedure was carried out in the Ricardo Urriera urbanization, sector II, Miguel Peña parish in Valencia.
False medical credentials were found on the pair. They were identified as: VJ Betancourt Pinto, 54, and RC Linares Varela, 55. According to the official version, they applied platelet-rich treatments, vitamins, injections, and autohemotherapy.

Medications were seized at the scene, such as: serum bags, boxes of cephalexin, paracetamol, acyclovir, amoxacillin, acetaminophen, ferrous sulfate, dextrose solution, neitatin, test tubes, ampoules of atropine sulfate, notestone, among others.
In turn, prescriptions and medical reports were found without filling out, with wet seals belonging to assistance centers of the Valencia City Hall and the Ciudad Hospitalaria Doctor Enrique Tejera, forms of proof of healthy children, without filling out, with seals alluding to two centers of health, one from that entity and another from Cojedes.
Other elements were vaccination cards without filling out, with a seal allusive to Insalud, a computer and a printer.
The case was sent to the Public Ministry of Carabobo state for due judicial processing.
