Lavinia (7) slain by statue

Munich Bavaria) – Tragic accident in Munich hotel! Little Lavinia (7) from Naples was killed by a statue in front of her father while on vacation and later died in hospital.

The tragedy happened on Friday evening in a Munich hotel in the Isar suburb. According to Italian media, Lavinia was playing with a boy (8) in the hotel’s garden when an unfixed marble statue fell over and buried the little girl.

► According to the Munich police, the statue weighs around 200 kilograms and is 1.40 meters high. The statue stands there on a pedestal – and has been for around 20 years.

As the Italians continue to report, father Michele T., a lawyer from Naples, had to take credit for the bad accident.

Three people in the hotel became aware of the situation through desperate screams and together they lifted the statue and freed the girl.

Ambulance service and emergency doctor brought the child to a Munich hospital with ongoing resuscitation. However, Lavinia died there almost two hours after the accident from her severe injuries.

Just hours after the accident, Lavinia’s mother, Valentina P., posted the news of her daughter’s tragic accident on social media. She wrote: “You are and will always be our angel. Rest in peace love of our lives.”

The exact course of the accident is to be determined by the criminal police. Also whether the girl climbed onto the statue.
