This day the Family Medicine Unit (UMF) No. 13, known as “La de la Cuchilla”, celebrated its 29th anniversary, it was the first of its kind to provide first-level care services in the city of Cancun, Quintana Roo .

It began its operation on February 18, 1993, currently it has a registered population of 135 thousand 658 beneficiaries; provides family medicine services, continuous medical care, integrated preventive care and a Respiratory Care Module (MARSS),

213 workers work there, including family doctors, family specialist nurses, social work personnel, nutritionists, stomatologists, medical assistants and administrative personnel, in the morning and evening hours from Monday to Sunday, since this Unit has extended service on Saturdays and Sundays.

On a typical day, it provides around 579 attentions, it stands out among its services that it also has a geriatric service for older adults.

To commemorate this anniversary, the UMF staff, led by Dr. Fany Guadalupe Pat Espadas, held a Health Fair to promote PrevenIMSS integrated preventive care services, nutrition, dentistry, reproductive health and geriatrics, throughout the day. , aimed at the entire entitled population.
