Family Physicians see a “terrifying” replacement by nurses in Madrid | Society

The president of the Spanish Society of General and Family Physicians (SEMG), Antonio Fernández-Pro, has called this Wednesday the Madrid protocol that leaves command of health centers in the hands of nurses when there is no family doctor.

At a press conference to present the XXVIII national congress of the SEMG, in which more than 4,800 professionals participate, Fernandez-Pro has advanced that, during the congress that will take place until June 11, the society that he chairs will agree on a response to the “nonsense” protocol disseminated by the Community of Madrid, a response that will foreseeably result in a manifesto of rejection.
