The Minister of Defense, Vladimir Godfather Lopez, expressed through a joint statement by the Bolivarian National Force and citizen security institutions, the rejection of the proposals of Edmundo González and María Corina Machado regarding the military sphere, indicating it as offensive.
“It is offensive that they now want to target military and police officers whom they have always despised, inciting them to disobey the law,” said López.
FANB and police forces will not be defeated
The minister stressed that Machado’s calls seek to undermine institutional unity and that they will never succeed.
He also stressed that with these actions they intend to try to to tarnish the electoral process of July 28.
“Last Sunday’s elections were held with high levels of transparency,” he said.
The Vice President of Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace reaffirmed its support and loyalty to President Nicolás Maduro.
