Five subjects were captured in Zulia state under the deployment of the “Safe Christmas 2022” operation, which seeks to end criminal networks and guarantee the security of citizens.
Officials of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) carried out the arrest of five members of a criminal gang, which was dedicated to extorting and kidnapping people in the Zulian entity.
The Operational Strategic Commander of the Fanb (Ceofanb), M/G Domingo Hernández Lárez, reported that a revolver and several telephones were seized during the military procedure.
The seized material will be presented as evidence.
Another procedure was also disclosed, where a citizen of Colombian origin was arrested in Zulia state for the crime of drug trafficking.
In the action, a kilogram of cocaine was seized.
