The potential presidential candidate, Dr. Farid Zahran, head of the Egyptian Democratic Party, completed a medical examination today, Thursday, at the Nasser Institute Hospital, as part of the preparations and controls for submitting his candidacy papers for the presidential elections.
Dr. Farid Zahran announced his intention to run in the 2024 presidential elections, with the support of the Supreme Committee of the Egyptian Democratic Party and a number of other parties, led by the Justice Party.
Dr. Farid Zahran launched his election campaign in a press conference last Tuesday, October 3, explaining that the beginning of liberation comes with holding fair, democratic elections that reflect the will of the people.
Dr. Farid Zahran received recommendations from members of Parliament, supporting his candidacy in the presidential elections, as the number of recommendations exceeded the quorum required to run in the elections, which is 20 members of Parliament. The recommendations included representatives of the Egyptian Democratic Party, representatives of the Justice Party, other parties, and independents.
