“Father of the Flame”: The temperature touches 41 degrees!

The Department of Meteorology at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expected the weather tomorrow to be partly cloudy to partly cloudy, with stable temperatures, and the persistence of fog at medium heights.

The bulletin stated the following:

The general situation: hot and humid summer weather dominates the eastern basin of the Mediterranean until Wednesday, and Lebanon is affected from Thursday by hot air masses, especially in the interior regions, where the temperature touches 41 degrees in the shade. And warns of the outbreak of fires in the interior.

The average temperature for the month of August on the coast ranges between 25 and 33 degrees.

Expected weather in Lebanon:

Monday: a few clouds, turning in the evening to partly cloudy and cloudy without a slight adjustment in temperatures in the coastal and mountainous areas, and its rise is limited in the interior areas, and the humidity remains high, where the perceived temperature is higher than the recorded temperature, and dense fog forms on the medium heights during the period. Evening, which leads to poor vision.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy to partly cloudy, with stable temperatures, and the appearance of fog at medium altitudes.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy to partly cloudy without a slight change in temperatures in the coastal areas and a slight rise in the mountains and inland, with the appearance of fog remaining on the medium heights.

Thursday: A few clouds to partly cloudy and a slight rise in temperatures in the coastal and mountainous areas, while it rises significantly in the interior regions, where it touches 41 degrees with low humidity inside, which calls for warning of the danger of fires in the forested areas, especially in the interior. The humidity is also high on the coast, which increases the feeling of heat.

The temperature on the coast is from 27 to 31 degrees, over the mountains from 18 to 27 degrees, inland from 18 to 38 degrees.

Surface wind: southwesterly, gusting between 10 and 30 km/hr.

Visibility: Good on the coast, sometimes worse at medium heights due to fog.
