Frank Badenhop continues to work hard. His ambitious guest project FB1964 goes into the next round with “Ventus Metallum”. There are also alternating original compositions and cover albums. This time he and his numerous well-known guests did not dedicate themselves to any particular genre, era or musical age, but instead dedicated them to his absolute favorite songs.
There is a lot of variety and alongside big heroes like ANVIL, RAINBOW or BLACK SABBATH surprising new songs picked out. In addition, the German continues to forego profits, but once again donates everything to a project to preserve the rainforest.
“Free As The Wind” goes straight into full swing and offers pure heavy metal with motivated Steve Welsh (DEAD CITY RUINS), who breathes new life into the classic. It’s also very cool how he uses the singers, because instead of giving Bruce Dickinson sound-a-like Raphael Mendez a Maiden song, he gets to use his vocal talent on the THIN LIZZY hit “Holy War”, which here sounds harder and still timeless. play out.

You can think what you want about cover albums, but FB1964 have always impressed with their authenticity, strong guest singers and audible joy in the songs, and their latest work “Ventus Metallum” is definitely no exception!
