FC Barcelona has sued five journalists and a number of media outlets over their reports of the club’s multimillion-dollar payments to a former boss of the referee commission in Spain. According to Barcelona, the defendants tried to damage the club with their coverage of the payments to a company owned by José Maria Enriquez Negreira, the newspaper Sport reported regarding the charge.
