Are Bayern already working towards the next top transfer?
The future of Robert Lewandowski (33) is still unclear. Bayern are waiting for another offer from FC Barcelona, but the Catalans have not yet submitted a fourth million offer.
One thing is clear: If Munich continues to insist on the “Basta” from CEO Oliver Kahn (53), Lewandowski will stay until the end of next season and will have to let his contract expire.
According to “kicker” information, Bayern already have a real superstar in mind as a successor candidate in Harry Kane (28) for the summer of 2023, in which Lewandowski would go free of charge!
The Tottenham clipper’s contract runs until 2024, a year longer than Lewandowski’s contract.
This could lead to the same problem for the England club in the coming season that Bayern are currently struggling with. Sell Kane for a fee or risk losing the England captain on a free transfer?
Munich could take advantage of this situation and bring Kane to Munich for a comparatively cheap fee. According to BILD information, Bayern have a fundamental interest in the national striker, but also know that a transfer of Kanes, especially this summer, is financially almost impossible.
Kane fits perfectly into the requirements profile of the record champion. He has performed at the highest level with the national team and the Hotspurs and could therefore slip directly into the role of Lewandowski.
Ex-Bayern star Jérôme Boateng (33) had already recommended Bayern Kane in May. The 2014 world champion on “Sky”: “Personally, I would try to get Harry Kane at Bayern immediately. This is my opinion. For me, this is a complete striker who scores goals every day at Tottenham. In a very good but not world-class team. If he plays in a team like FC Bayern, then I think he’s a great replacement at a very good age as a footballer. But that is up to FC Bayern.”
