FC Bayern: Thomas Müller about Robert Lewandowski: “He has a valid contract!” – Bundesliga

Now the original Bavarian is speaking up in the contract Zoff about Robert Lewandowski (33)!

Bayern striker Lewandowski recently provoked a transfer to FC Barcelona with his statements (“My story at Bayern is over! I see no more possibility to continue playing for this club.”) – despite a contract in Munich until 2023.

In the “kicker” interview, Thomas Müller (32), with the Bayern professionals since 2009, spoke about his colleague who was willing to change. Müller: “Lewy has a valid contract and I would like my long-term offensive partner to stay.”

However, the national player (112 caps) also says: “Of course the business is such that things can turn out differently. In general, the club is bigger than us players.”

Müller is convinced that further cooperation still makes sense despite the recent escalation. He says: “It’s a break and we’ve seen a lot during these times, I’m just reminding you of Franck Ribery’s wish to move to Real Madrid. One thing is certain: every player who is still under contract in Munich on September 1 will also want to play well. Because playing badly is not fun for any player.”

Lewandowski (24 million euros annual salary) definitely wants to leave in the summer. Barça have already submitted a written 32m offer. But: The Bayern bosses are not even thinking of selling for less than 40 million euros and without an adequate Lewy replacement.

Tor machine Lewandowski (344 goals in 374 games) gave a provocative interview at the Formula 1 race in Monaco, saying on the Polish TV channel “Eleven Sports PL”: “Spain is great! We have a house in Mallorca. The feeling for Spain is there and I think it’s a really good place – not only to go on holiday there.”

Meanwhile, Sky expert Lothar Matthäus (61) is even worried about Lewy’s storm partner Müller, recently told BILD: “I’m not only sorry for Bayern, the fans and the Bundesliga. I’m also a bit worried about Thomas Müller, they both benefited a lot from each other. Will he find such a collegial partner again?”
