FC Schalke 04 is apparently threatened with further drastic consequences given the disastrous sporting situation in the 2nd Bundesliga.
As “Bild” reports, there are whispers in the club’s environment that sports director Peter Knäbel and sports director André Hechelmann will be disempowered and will no longer be entrusted with signing new signings in view of the coming winter transfer period.

The new CEO Matthias Tillmann might implement the demotion of Knäbel and Hechelmann. The 39-year-old will not officially take up his position at Schalke until January 1st, but he is already expected to be heavily involved behind the scenes.
