FDNY to Promote 16 Battalion Chiefs in Ceremony Marked by Centuries of Experience

Sixteen seasoned firefighters will ascend to the rank of Battalion Chief during a special ceremony to be held at the FDNY Training Academy on Randall’s Island this Wednesday, December 11, at 11:00 a.m.
This distinguished group, collectively boasting over 300 years of dedicated service to the FDNY, will be dispatched to various units across the city, bringing their extensive knowledge and experience to new roles.
Fire Commissioner Robert S. Tucker will preside over the ceremony, offering heartfelt commendation to the newly promoted chiefs. Chief of Department John Esposito and other FDNY officials will also be in attendance.
