ABU DHABI, 7 October / WAM / The electoral center at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi witnessed the influx of voters since nine in the morning to cast their votes in the Federal National Council elections, while the voting process took less than 5 minutes.
It was noteworthy that all segments of society were keen to participate in this electoral celebration, including senior citizens who flocked to the electoral committees, which witnessed a distinguished organizational atmosphere led by an elite group of Emirati volunteers.
Saeed Salem Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Zayed University – Abu Dhabi Electoral Committee, said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the flow of voters to the center began early and the voting process was completed with great ease and ease, as more than 35 volunteers participated in helping voters complete the voting process, and they were keen to receive them. Since their arrival at the electoral center, they are introduced to all the necessary procedures to follow the voting process.
He explained that the UAE is witnessing today a distinguished electoral celebration in which all the people of the country participate, noting that the striking scene was the prominent participation of senior citizens, thus presenting an important message to future generations about the importance of positive and effective participation in creating a prosperous future for the nation.
He stated that there are 22 electronic voting machines in the center, and a designated path has been designated for people of determination to enter and follow the voting process, in addition to providing them with brief training before they vote.
He added that hybrid voting saved effort and time in the electoral process, and that the electoral centers are performing their work perfectly to ensure the smoothness of the electoral process.
In a related context, a number of volunteers expressed their pride and happiness in participating in the Federal National Council elections, thanking the National Elections Committee for the support it provided to them to ensure that they fully carried out their role.
They pointed out that their presence in the electoral process is a national duty. The remarkable turnout among the people of the state to participate in the National Council elections reflects their high political awareness and their eagerness to carry out their responsibilities in choosing who will represent them in the National Council.
The election centers were distributed in a thoughtful manner and within a specific plan that guarantees all members of the electoral bodies the ability to access them and cast their votes, as several vital factors were taken into account, such as the geographical locations of the members of the electoral bodies, and the availability of services, facilities, parking and infrastructure required to achieve all the criteria for the success of the electoral process.
