Fernando Alonso (Alpine F1 Team) finished the Friday free practice of the 2022 F1 Japan GP in the 7th fastest time.
Fernando Alonso, who finished the opening session with the fastest time, said the car felt good in the rain, but it didn’t help him prepare, and he was more than sorry for the fans waiting outside.
“It’s been a good day for us and I’m happy to be back at Suzuka,” said Alonso.
“Rain doesn’t help with preparation and I feel sorry for the fans who stayed outside in this weather all day. To be honest, I always prefer dry weather.”
“The car felt good in both sessions today and it was good to be first at the end of Free Practice 1. I am looking forward to tomorrow and see what we can do in potentially dry conditions. Let’s try
