The Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 offered here is an early and therefore pure Dino 308 GT4. This beautiful car was last owned for a whopping 36 years and has always been cherished and cared for. The engine was overhauled about 13,000 km ago, the carburetors, ignition and brakes have also been overhauled. This Dino 308 GT4 is in top-maintenance and very original collector’s condition and is veteran-approved. A lot of documents are available since 1981, the complete original tool set and an original instruction manual also belong to the car.

The Dino 308 GT4 was the first Ferrari to be fitted as standard with an eight-cylinder engine, originally a development from the Ferrari racing department, and was built from 1974 to 1980. The robust, high-revving engine was used in various other Ferraris for many years afterwards.

A special feature of the Dino 308 GT 4 is that, like its predecessor, the Dino 246, it bears the brand name Dino and not the usual Ferrari logo. Enzo Ferrari ran the small Ferrari models under the Dino name for a number of years in memory of his late son Alfredo “Dino” Ferrari. It was not until May 1976 that the Dino brand name was replaced by Ferrari on the 308 GT 4 model. Ferrari supplied a retrofit kit for this. A total of 2,826 Dino 308 GT 4s were built in the six years of construction, and 1,332 pure Dino 308 GT 4s.
Exceptionally, the body of the Dino was not designed by Pininfarina, but by Bertone.

Errors, mistakes and prior sale reserved.
