Explosive social, technological and educational policy issues in focus.
Graz (OTS) – FH JOANNEUM will be offering several new courses with special topics for media and communication from autumn 2023. The focus is on explosive social, technological and educational policy issues. The two-semester academic courses “Sustainability Communication and Climate Journalism” and “Digital Health Communication” as well as the one-semester certificate courses “Digital Media Competence” and “Fact Checking and Verification” focus on current specialist areas for media professionals and those responsible for communication, but are also accessible to interested parties from other sectors. The Institute for Journalism and Digital Media at FH JOANNEUM in Graz is thus establishing itself as a leading competence center for practice-oriented academic further education and training with a focus on information, media and communication.
All new courses have been developed with recognized experts in the respective disciplines from Germany and abroad. With a project-related orientation on a scientific basis, the courses guarantee the greatest possible efficiency in acquiring skills for new professional challenges.
The courses are only offered at FH JOANNEUM in the form in which they were conceived as a one- or two-semester program. They end with recognized university certificates (30 or 60 ECTS). “Fact Checking and Verification” is offered as an online course in cooperation with the Austrian Media Academy.
