There were fierce clashes between Israeli soldiers and Hamas fighters in the north of the Gaza Strip on Thursday night. The armed wing of the Islamist organization ruling the Gaza Strip, the Qassam Brigades, reported confrontations in the northwest of the coastal strip. The Palestinian Red Crescent said on Wednesday evening that they had brought water, food and medicine across the border from Egypt. The delivery of fuel has not yet been approved, it said.
