Let’s Eat Seafood Campaign held by Fiesta Seafood and Shifudo (MI/HO)

Children’s growth is greatly influenced by diet and nutrition. Seafood-based food is a type of food that is full of nutrients. Based on this, PT Centralpertiwi Bahari (CPPrima Seafood), a subsidiary of PT Central Proteina Prima, Tbk, also supports the GEMARIKAN program (Movement to Promote Fish Eating) through the Fiesta Seafood School to School and Shifudo School to School programs which will be held in early 2024 to educate community, especially elementary school students, in an effort to increase consumption of seafood-based food.

Seafood-based processed products with the Fiesta Seafood and Shifudo brands can be an alternative protein intake from an early age. Moreover, nutrition from fish and seafood contains Omega 3 which is good for children’s intelligence.

In early 2024, Fiesta Seafood and Shifudo have educated more than 10,500 students in Jabodetabek as part of the Let’s Eat Seafood campaign to coincide with the Ramadan fasting moment last week.

“We hope that through this campaign, children will increasingly understand the importance of balanced nutrition that comes from fish protein and processed seafood. CP Prima Seafood strongly supports government programs as well as a form of concern for improving the quality and intelligence of Indonesian children as national assets whose nutritional intake needs to be taken into account. “Seafood can also be the best alternative for cooking at home with the family during the fasting month,” said CP Prima Seafood Head of Marketing Anjani Miranti Putri.

On the sidelines of the event at SDN 01 Jombang, representatives of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) took part in providing material for the Fiesta Seafood School-to-School and Shifudo School-to-School Programs because this program also supports the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (PDSKP) as a program aimed at to provide education on the enjoyment and variety of processed fish products.

Oki Clinical Nutrition Specialist Doctor Yonatan O said, “Seafood is high in protein, Omega 3 and minerals and low in cholesterol, which is good for the body, especially during the healing and muscle building period.”

Regarding balanced nutritional food portions, Oki added, balanced nutritional food portions should consist of two-thirds of staple foods with one-third protein, which can be vegetable or animal.

“However, if possible, it is best to consume animal protein such as fish or seafood, chicken and meat,” said Dr. Oki

“The reason is, it is difficult for us to get this source of Omega-3 from animal protein sources from land animals. “So it would be good if we could get Omega-3 from fish or shrimp,” he added.

Fiesta Seafood products include Dory Stick, Ebi Fry, Shrimp Siomay, Crispy Shrimp Nugget and Odeng. Meanwhile, Shifudo serves processed fish products such as fish balls, fish brains, chikuwa, fish rolls, cheese dumplings which are very practical in presentation.

Currently, Fiesta Seafood and Shifudo products can be found in various locations. Apart from that, Fiesta Seafood and Shifudo products are available at the Tokopedia Official Store and Shopee CPPrima Seafood. (RO/Z-1)
