EA Sports has lost its license to AS Roma. Instead, the club will be represented at FIFA 21 under the name Roma FC with other shirts and a modified logo. This announced the manufacturer of the popular console classic on Tuesday.
Despite the other name, the official Roma squad will continue to play at FIFA 21, as EA has retained the visual licenses and the naming rights for the footballers.
However, there is another change: Roma FC will no longer play their home games in the virtual Olympic Stadium, but in the fictional Olympic Stadium.
It was only on Monday that EA Sports announced that both AC Milan and Inter Milan could be tied to the FIFA series for the coming years. Last year EA Sports announced that Juventus Turin would be called Piemonte Calcio.
