He decided The International Federation of Football “FIFA”, Tuesday, canceled the match that was going to bring together the Brazilian and Argentine national teams, in the qualifiers World Cup Qatar 2022which was scheduled for next month.
The first leg between the two teams in the Clasico World Cup qualifiers for the South American region was suspended, due to the insistence of Brazilian health officials, to suspend players from the Argentine national team because of their failure to respect the precautionary measures against the spread of the Corona virus.
The International Federation insisted on completing the qualifiers and holding the match despite the two teams qualifying for the finals, and that its final result did not affect the final standings, or the position of each team in the International Federation of Teams classification, which it issues monthly.
The Brazilian and Argentine federations demanded to cancel the match so that each team can play friendly matches next month in anticipation of the World Cup, like all other teams, which was recently approved by the International Federation, according to what the Argentine Federation confirmed in an official statement.
The postponement will allow the Tunisian national team to face Brazil, as various media sources confirmed that a preliminary agreement between the two federations provides for a friendly match, which will initially be held in Europe.
