On an economic visit to Mbour, Amadou Ba saw his meeting spoiled in part by pitched fights between activists of the DG of the Caisse de dépôt et de consignations and mayor of Mbour, Cheikh Issa Sall, and those of the 6th vice president of the National Assembly. Several injuries were noted and transported to hospital.
Speaking, the Prime Minister expressed his regret at this tension during his visit to Mbour as part of his economic tour which began 3 days ago. The coalition candidate Benno Bokk Yakaar also requested the intervention of Ms. Faty, a well-known figure in Mbour for her commitment to the development of her region, in order to play the role of mediator between the two political actors who are the 6th vice-president of the national assembly, Sira Ndiaye, and the mayor of Mbour.

The head of government asked Ms. Faty to invite the two political leaders of Mbour to lunch together this Thursday to make peace.
