A member of the Political Council of the Free Patriotic Movement, lawyer Wadih Akl, wrote on his account on the “X” platform: “The caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, has filed an allegation against me, and tomorrow I will appear before the first investigating judge in Beirut. My accusation is that I am fighting corruption in the mafia state.”
He added, “I will appear, as usual, before the judiciary while the criminal Riad Salama is a fugitive from justice after Mikati refused to change him” during the war without changing our officers. December 2021!”
Akl continued, “I am not afraid of them because my servants are with me, and this is an example of my struggle for more than ten years and massive confrontations. Thank God, so far they have not succeeded in bribing me or intimidating me despite all the pressures and temptations.”
He concluded, “Fighting corruption is a life mission. It is our duty to confront and rebuild the state that has been hijacked by the corruption mafia and militia princes since the war until today.”
Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati filed a complaint against me.
