Film-serial actor Vinod Thomas died of carbon monoxide inhalation, post-mortem report says. The cause of death was confirmed in the post-mortem conducted at Kottayam Medical College. Vinod was sitting in the started car following turning on the AC and locking the windows.
The preliminary conclusion is that the death occurred due to inhaling poisonous gas while dozing in the car. The police did not find anything unusual in Vinod’s car. Vinod’s cremation will be held on Tuesday at the Muttambalam public crematorium.
47-year-old Vinod was found unconscious in a car parked in front of a private bar in Pampadi Kalachanta on Saturday around 5:30 pm. He was brought to the hospital but died.
Vinod reached the bar at 11 am, got into the car at 2 pm, switched on the AC and sat down. When the car did not open even following hours, the bar staff knocked. When it did not open, the door was opened by breaking the window of the car.
Vinod was single and lived alone. Vinod, who has acted in many films like Ayyappanum Koshi, Natholi Oru Keri Meenalla and many others, hails from Potthanpurum and is a native of Khesiplav.
